According to Maggie Sleeper, director of community engagement and strategic initiatives at F&F Properties, the project centers on rejuvenating older buildings. This not only adds value but also incorporates modern design elements that appeal to today’s renters. “We tend to focus on buildings that need rehabilitation, allowing us to increase density while upgrading the overall quality,” Sleeper explained.

The renovations have transformed the complex from its original 1960s architecture into a stylish living space that offers high-end finishes. With eight three-bedroom apartments and multiple one-bedroom and studio units, Duplet now boasts features such as custom cabinetry and modern light fixtures. Emphasizing quality over mediocrity, F&F Properties ensured each unit includes state-of-the-art amenities like in-unit washers and dryers, catering to the modern urban dweller.
Affordability Amid Luxury
While luxury apartments often come with exorbitant rent, Duplet offers a diverse range to accommodate various income levels. Monthly rents for units will range from $1,895 for studios to upwards of $4,245 for larger three-bedroom apartments. Furthermore, a few select units have been allocated for renters earning at or below 110% of the Area Median Income, ensuring a bit of affordability within the high-quality offerings.
