As Veterans Day approaches, the Anaheim Hills community prepares to honor its heroes through the elite Flags of Honor event at Eucalyptus Park. Sponsored by the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club, this heartfelt ceremony not only serves to commemorate veterans but also symbolizes unity among residents.
This year, the event will be held from November 7 to 11, featuring over 200 flags that bear dedications to those who have served, both past and present. Visitors will walk through a serene field where each flag tells a unique story, offering a moment of reflection in a peaceful setting.

November 8 will mark a special remembrance ceremony at 10 a.m., gathering community members in reverence. This year’s keynote speaker, 94-year-old Korean War veteran Norio Uyematsu, is particularly impactful; having experienced the harsh realities of war and prejudice, his journey embodies resilience and courage, serving as an inspiration to attendees of all ages.
How You Can be a Part of the Tribute
Community members are invited to sponsor a flag in honor of their heroes for $50 for the first flag and $35 for each additional flag. These contributions not only express gratitude but also support ongoing community initiatives led by the Rotary Club.
